Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Sowren, a Software Engineer from Bangladesh. I build web applications, backend systems, and the occasional tool that saves me from doing the same boring task twice.

Laravel has been at the center of my work for years, usually paired with Livewire or Vue.js. I also reach for Python and Go when the job involves microservices, data processing, AI, automation, or CLI apps. I am enthusiastic about clean and readable code.

I have around 9 years of professional experience and have been working as a Full-Stack Engineer at Revealize Inc. since March 2021. “Full-stack” is technically correct, but I spend most of my time on the backend, infrastructure, and the awkward problems between them. Give me a slow Eloquent query, a queue that behaves strangely under load, or an API that needs untangling, or a legacy system that everyone fears to touch, and I’ll happily disappear into it.

These days, AI is also a regular part of how I work. Like other developers who adopted it reluctantly (lol), I now use it to explore ideas, automate repetitive work, analyze data, and write code; though anything it writes gets thoroughly reviewed and tested before I release it into the wild. I have experimented with fine-tuning, dataset preparation, prompt engineering, and integrating models into applications. Don’t like to shove AI everywhere, only where it suits.

Programming is a continuous learning process. In my free time, I try playing with different languages and tools in order to keep myself familiar with modern infrastructures. All these test projects and open source tools are available in my public Github repository.

Away from code, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and watching movies and series. I am a die-hard fan of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire universe. I’m optimistically waiting for the sixth book of the main series, (rolling your eyes? 🫠) I also know:

And I love science. To be specific, things about physics and space. Carl Sagan has had a huge influence on how I look at the world. He made me realize how small we are in this unimaginably large universe, yet how meaningful a life can still be. ✨
